Update from Companies House!

In a move towards enhanced clarity and transparency in the corporate world, Companies House has officially redefined the traditional title of CEO.

As of today, the term “CEO” will now represent ‘Chief Exploitation Officer’!

Why the Change?

In light of the ever-evolving landscape of capitalism and the remarkable advancements in technology, it has become essential to adapt our terminology to accurately reflect the realities of our economic and social systems.

Capitalism has ushered us into a new era, where technology driven efficiency and growth reign supreme, leading to the emergence of a techno-feudal state.

Given this context, Companies House recognises the importance of updating our language to align with the evolving nature of business.

The term “Chief Exploitation Officer” encapsulates the essence of corporate leadership in this modern era, where maximising resources and driving profitability at the expense of people, and the planet is vital. Moreover, it is important to clarify the capitalist’s hero- Milton Friedman’s philosophy – that the only responsibility of business is to maximise profits.

What Does This Mean?

The redefinition of the CEO title signifies a commitment to transparency and accountability within the corporate landscape. It underscores the vital role of CEO’s to exploit resources, goodwill, trust and the public purse for shareholder profits.

Examples of Corporate Exploitation:

In recent times, instances of corporate exploitation have come to light.

For example, Thames Water’s disregard for environmental regulations led to the pollution of rivers, as evidenced by the Oxford Rowing Team’s experience during the boat race.

Such actions not only harm the environment but ensure the trust of greedy stakeholders.

Furthermore, the transference of billions of dollars in wars around the world for profit demonstrates the far-reaching consequences of unchecked corporate power.

This exploitation of global conflicts for financial gain not only perpetuates suffering but also perpetuates inequality and instability. And it’s imperative that CEO’s worldwide don’t get confused about their role…Because there’s plenty of upside in expanding wars and pollution for profit for shareholders.

So why not call a spade a spade?

Embracing Reality Together

As Companies House spearheads this initiative, we invite all stakeholders to join us in embracing reality and clarifying the norms of corporate culture.

Together, let us strive for a future where transparency, corruption, and inequality define our collective journey towards techno-feudalism!
