More plastics won’t save our oceans so blue,
They’ll drown in our waste, as we bid them adieu.
They’re selling more weapons, as peace disappears,
While innocent children bear the brunt of our madness.
Austerity measures can’t heal what’s torn,
They deepen the chasms where the majority will fall.
More AI won’t make the rest of us rich,
But it’ll disempower and de-skill us all, pretty quick.
More hustle and grind won’t yield joy in the end,
For time lost to chasing can’t ever amend.
More policies drafted won’t close the wide gap,
When voices are silenced, it’s justice we sap.
More growth at all costs, following a dodgy philosophy,
As nature we plunder, prepare for her wrath.
Let’s dare to imagine a world that can heal,
Where kindness is currency, and truth is our deal.
In this insane world, let’s shift the old ways,
For the future is ours, if we choose to be brave.
