This opportunity aligns perfectly with my passion for designing adventure-based learning experiences (ABLE) for teams and leaders, and I’m eager to spread the word about its transformative power.
There’s growing empirical evidence supporting the idea that adventure is incredibly beneficial for our mental and emotional well-being.
I’ve seen first-hand how adventure-based learning experiences can benefit organisations.
By stepping outside outside of our comfort zones, into nature if possible, and engaging with risk, novelty, complexity, and implicit learning, we foster deeper growth, understanding.
We can also enter the peak performance zone known as ‘flow’ states.
Mckinsey’s own research highlighted that leaders can be up to 5X’s more effective in flow states and the military have found that learning is accelerated when in flow.
Moreover, being in flow states leads to feelings of wellbeing and resilience through:
– Motivation
– Empowerment
– Pleasure
– Significance
– Purpose
It’s time we break free from the constraints of our current economic systems that often view us as mere cogs in the machine.

We are collaborative, creative beings who thrive in environments that challenge us and encourage us to learn through experience and adventure.
For those seeking a more human approach to learning and growth—one that get us off screens, whilst reconnecting us with nature, each other, and our own potential—adventure-based learning experiences are the path forward.
